I honestly think HOV lanes are a stupid concept that messes up traffic flow, thus increasing emissions (and travel times for everyone else).

HOV lanes are a great concept, as is lane splitting for motorcycles in stand-still traffic. However, I do agree that in both cases, *some* HOV lane users and *some* motorcyclists drive in a way that is not conductive of overall safety.

They're fucking fine. It's the god damn closed off HOV lanes that bug the shit out of me.
Everyone that needs to exit the HOV lanes has to do it at designated zones. You've got all this fast traffic now trying to pour over into the slower, bumper to bumper lanes. This absolutely cripples both the carpool lane and the regular lanes.
It's a fucking mess. Whoever thought those up needs to get slapped.
